LABORATORIES

The Laboratory of Effluent and Environmental Chemistry relates to the Research Area 1 of PPGCTA “Biotechnological and unconventional processes in the production of food and ingredients” in the topics related to waste treatment and valuation. Water use and wastewater generation are inherent in food processing and need to be optimized to increase the economic and environmental sustainability of the food industries. Developing processes that use less water and generate less wastewater are necessary for successful new product and process development.
